Binh Dinh - Nhon Chau island commune will be invested with more than 400 billion VND to develop 4 tourist attractions with a resort system, marine parks and many service utilities.

On March 12, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that the province had approved the investment policy for the Tourist Sites project in Nhon Chau commune (Quy Nhon city), in the form of auctioning land use rights to select investors.

There are four locations in Nhon Chau commune (also known as Cu Lao Xanh) that will be planned and invested in tourism development, including: Score 1 ( Bai Truoc Tourist Area); Score 3 (Gieng Tien Area - Ban Co Tien); Score 7 ( Bai Nam Area) and Score 10 (Sea Park Area).

In particular, at Point No. 1, it is expected to build a high-end resort hotel area with amenities such as restaurants, spas and accompanying services. This resort connects with Thuy Temple via a landscape route according to the new plan. The project is at most 3 floors high, with a maximum construction density of 25%, a total floor area of about 8,000m2, and a maximum of 200 rooms.

Score 3 will develop a sightseeing and entertainment area and entertainment services, cuisine with items such as restaurants, viewpoints, glass bridges, walking paths... The project has a height of 1 floor, assembled structure, construction density of 10%, total floor area of 3,460m2. Of which, the minimum community service area is 1,000m2, the rest is for service exploitation.

At Score 7, a high-class resort will be formed, including: villas, bungalows, accommodation areas combined with restaurant services, health spa and beaches. The project is at most 2 floors high, with a maximum construction density of 25%, a total floor area of 12,200m2, with about 40-50 clusters of rooms.

The score of 10 will be the central square and beach park, serving festival activities, night street, community tourism, cuisine and shopping. The works are 1-storey, with a maximum construction density of 5%, and a total floor area of about 795.85m2.

The project has a total investment of more than 403 billion VND. The project implementation period is 42 months from the date of the decision to recognize the auction results or approve the investor.

Nhon Chau island commune is about 30km from the mainland, possessing great potential for tourism development but has not yet been properly exploited.

In 2023, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province approved the general construction planning project at a scale of 1/5,000 in Nhon Chau commune until 2035. This plan aims to develop the marine economy, improve people's lives in conjunction with ensuring national defense, security and sovereignty of the islands.

In April 2024, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and leaders of departments and branches conducted a field survey, affirming their determination to attract potential investors to develop tourism in Nhon Chau island commune.
