On January 18, author QinS-eoul and Skybooks will hold an event to exchange and launch the essay work "Story at the 24-hour soup shop" marking his return after a 3-year absence.
The author's real name is Vu Huong Quynh (born in 1993), currently a Writer in Residence at Vin University, author of the column "Banh Day & Banh Tteok" in Hoa Hoc Tro newspaper.
10 years ago, she was known by her pen name Quynh in Seoul, the author of 6 best-selling books. Quynh in Seoul's image is closely associated with Korean culture, once honored as "The messenger of spreading the fire of studying abroad in Korea", Quynh is loved by many young people because of her bright and inspiring writing style.
After 3 years of “putting down the pen”, Quynh in Seoul officially returned, reappearing with a new image under the pen name QinS-eoul. Explaining the name, the author said “QinS” with a small brick, eoul. “Eoul” is in eoullida which means harmony.
"The Story of the 24-hour Canh Kho" is a story that the author encapsulates her thoughts and feelings. She believes in the two words "fate" - when the connection between people becomes clearer, even though those people may not speak the same language or come from the same culture, but when we try to understand each other to truly "live" together, understand values and beliefs, the relationship immediately moves across space and time, even across generations.
The 21 stories in “Stories at the 24-hour soup shop” are dozens of flights over 16 years of the author, helping you understand more about “fate” and love that exists in countless forms, a rustic Korea with everyday stories through heart-touching conversations.
“The Story of the 24-hour Canh Kho” brings gentleness and warmth, making you smile and think about the relationships that have passed through your life. Closing the last page, you will feel a stronger belief in the invisible strings that lead us to the most precious things:
“It’s fate, you will still meet the person you need to meet. Another life, to meet more people. To meet yourself in a different version. And the best version.”
At the book signing event, in addition to the program content such as launching and signing, attendees also had the opportunity to listen to QinS-eoul share her thoughts and feelings, opening up future projects.
