The book was launched on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Association (June 1975 - June 2025), a predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
"Following the footsteps of a Human" is a collection of historical relics including special documents, faithfully recreating the 30-year journey (1911 - 1941) of traveling abroad to find a way to save the country of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh.
With a writing style of short stories, combining literary language and rich historical sources, author Trinh Quang Phu has recreated a vivid picture of that 30-year journey. From Nha Rong Wharf, he traveled through 3 continents, 4 continents, through nearly 30 countries, hundreds of cities, overcoming countless hardships and difficulties and working in many jobs to make a living.
In June 1925, in Guangzhou (China), Nguyen Ai Quoc founded the Vietnam Youth Revolution Association. This is the first political organization of patriotic young people, organized and trained by people. He simultaneously published the "Youth" newspaper, training the first cadre class for the Vietnamese revolution. This event is an important milestone, laying theoretical foundation and organizing the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930.
During the book, Prof. Dr. Trinh Quang Phu has traveled to more than 20 countries, approached archives and libraries, and contacted witnesses to verify documents. The scenes depicting Uncle Ho making cakes in Boston, or working in Carlton Hotel ( London) are all based on historical fact, artifacts and memories from the places where he lived and worked.
Prof. Dr. writer Trinh Quang Phu shared that, With all my noble feelings for Uncle Ho, with the urging of a writer, I have built this collection of short stories. Hopefully, it will bring readers useful information and documents and through the pages of books, readers will understand more, love, and study the style and noble will of beloved Uncle Ho".
Ms. Vu Thi Quynh Lien, Deputy Director - Editor-in-Chief of Kim Dong Publishing House, assessed that the book is not only a literary work but also a valuable document contributing to educating history, patriotism and revolutionary spirit for today's young generation of Vietnam.
