Previously, on the evening of December 15, a clip was circulated on social media recording a car driver repeatedly punching a man riding a motorbike in the face on Cong Quynh Street, near Tu Du Hospital (Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
Watching the clip of a driver beating someone so brutally, everyone was upset and angry. This person's behavior was very hooligan, disregarding the law, health, and lives of others.
The driver who beat the person was Quach Minh Nhut (33 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), the person who was beaten was Mr. T. (50 years old, living in District 1).
Why did Nhat beat Mr. T? The answer is because "he felt uncomfortable seeing his face".
At the investigation agency, Nhut stated that when he opened the car door, he saw Mr. T's face was upset so he rushed in to beat him, but the two sides had no previous conflict.
Meaning no traffic collisions, no conflicts, no one knows anyone, no connection, but if you like, you can fight. That's it.
Every day on the streets, there are many traffic collisions, or fights that have not yet occurred. Some cases are known because they are recorded by cameras or people filmed clips, but many other cases are not known to the community but still cause social chaos.
In a similar incident, the clip recorded the scene of a male driver being brutally beaten, with a woman and a child sitting next to him. The incident is said to have occurred around 4:00 p.m. on December 15 on Highway 741 through Tien Hung Commune, Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province. When the traffic light turned red, a man got out of a pickup truck and jumped into the car, punching and kicking, cursing at the male driver.
The victim explained that he was transporting goods at the time. While driving on the road, he saw a pickup truck swerving so he swerved to pass. There was no collision, but the pickup truck driver thought he was being forced to get on the truck and beat him.
Even if there is a car crash, is it to the point of beating someone like that? Not to mention that no one has the right to violate the body or threaten the life of another person.
Authorities need to clearly verify this assault case. If there is sufficient evidence, they will prosecute the case and handle it according to the law.
Only severe punishment can eliminate street thugs.
