No waste the country will prosper

Corruption is a crime committed by people in positions of authority, so only those in positions are corrupt. As for waste, anyone can commit it, and waste covers many areas, so waste is more destructive to the country than corruption.

Recently, Lao Dong Newspaper has published a series of articles about abandoned projects worth hundreds of billions of dong, but it cannot reflect all the abandoned projects across the country. Regardless of whether the project is public investment or private enterprise, but when it is stalled, the construction degrades over time, it is also a waste of society and the country. Not to mention, thousands of hectares of prime land belonging to those projects are not exploited, how can we calculate all the money that is wasted every day.

The hottest issue in Ho Chi Minh City is the 10,000 billion VND anti-flooding project that has been 90% completed, but had to stop construction since November 2020, which is a huge waste.

A current issue recently raised by the press is that after merging districts and communes, many public offices and public works were abandoned, becoming places to raise cows, or becoming scrap yards.Localities are not proactive in using and exploiting it for fear of doing wrong, leaving public assets damaged, which is a waste.

Officials and civil servants have continuous meetings, conferences and seminars take place everywhere, including many useless activities with no content value.Officials go on business trips domestically and abroad, calling it a study tour, but many of these trips are actually tourism, which is a waste of time and money.

Many scientific projects spend budget money, research projects are accepted and put in drawers, not applied to social life, production or teaching, isn't that a waste? Many films that the State invests a lot of money, but cannot create "blockbuster" films and only have a few viewers, if that is not a waste, then what is it?

Festivals, year-end parties, anniversary celebrations, groundbreaking ceremonies, inaugurations, all cost a lot of money. If we reduce formalities, we will save a lot of money.Don't think that money spent by businesses is not a waste.

Furthermore, when leaving the office, turning off the lights, air conditioners, computers, it is not too difficult but not everyone is conscious of complying. If each person is conscious of their actions, the total cost of electricity, water and other expenses of State agencies as well as private establishments will be significantly saved.
No waste, the country will prosper, no waste also builds a civilized lifestyle.
