High-quality human resources, modern and synchronous equipment
In the exciting competitive atmosphere towards the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance War (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2025) and welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, on December 4, 2025, the Bach Mai Hospital Party Committee issued a historic Resolution, agreeing to officially put Bach Mai Hospital Facility 2 in Ninh Binh into operation phase 1 from December 19, 2025.
This is considered a step of strategic significance, demonstrating the proactive spirit and high political responsibility of Bach Mai Hospital in implementing the major policy of the Party and Government on reducing the burden on the upper level, while improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in the southern area of Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
The Party Committee and Board of Directors of Bach Mai Hospital thoroughly grasp the viewpoint: The two facilities of Hanoi and Ninh Binh must be a unified system, operating synchronously, with equal quality.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Party Committee Secretary, Director of Bach Mai Hospital emphasized: The implementation of Ninh Binh Hospital 2 is an important political task of the leadership and staff of Bach Mai Hospital. We not only put a project into use but have to build a quality system equivalent to facility 1. Patients coming to facility 2 must enjoy the highest professional services, and receive care with the sense of responsibility and medical ethics of the Bach Mai medical team.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, to ensure safe and effective operation, the hospital will drastically implement many groups of synchronous solutions. Bach Mai Hospital is committed to bringing high technology and specialized technology closer to the people, narrowing the gap in access to medical services between regions, contributing to improving the quality of people's health care.
In phase 1, more than 600 experienced doctors, nurses and technicians from Hanoi will be mobilized to Ninh Binh. These are all core forces, with high professional qualifications, and have participated in the treatment of many difficult and complex cases.
In addition, the Resolution also clearly states specific policies to support frontline forces such as: Ensuring income commensurate with the volume and nature of work; arranging public housing; appropriate incentives to help cadres feel secure in their long-term work.
Regarding modern and synchronous facilities and medical equipment, Bach Mai Hospital has also mobilized to Ninh Binh, ensuring technical, technological standards and professional capacity equivalent to facility 1.
Dr. Duong Duc Hung, Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, said that when all infrastructure, snails, and equipment are handed over, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Facility 2, will be ready to receive human resources and immediately treat patients. Preparation work, especially in terms of high-quality human resources, has been implemented by the hospital for many years. With a large investment, the project is expected to become a leading modern hospital in the region.
Dr. Duong Duc Hung added that the hospital has completed the steps to deploy facility 2 with a scale of 1,000 beds. This is a key project, requiring more than 2,000 medical staff, so human resource preparation is identified as the key. For 6-7 years, the hospital has proactively recruited and trained core doctors for the new facility. According to the plan approved by the Government, in the first phase, the second facility will operate at 1/3 capacity to ensure quality. The hospital is committed to the same surgical quality at facility 2 as facility 1, contributing to reducing the burden and serving patients better.
Prioritize the interests of patients
The consistent spirit of the Resolution is to take patients as the center, considering this the highest goal in the entire process of hospital implementation and operation.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co emphasized: The effectiveness of facility 2 will be measured by the level of patient satisfaction. All officers and employees must be aware that every decision, every professional behavior is associated with the health and life of the people.
According to the plan, Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2 in Ninh Binh, will officially operate phase 1 from December 19, 2025, with all necessary subdivisions including: Examination, emergency, - paraclinical testing, imaging diagnosis and 325 inpatient beds.
The operation of the second facility is expected to bring many practical benefits to people in Ninh Binh and neighboring areas: Not having to travel far to Hanoi; reducing costs and treatment time; having access to high-quality, specialized medical services right in the locality; improving the opportunity to save lives in emergency situations and serious illnesses.
With high political determination, the synchronous participation of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and more than 4,000 cadres, civil servants and workers, Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2 in Ninh Binh is expected to soon become a high-quality medical examination and treatment center in the region, contributing significantly to the cause of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in accordance with the orientation of the Party and the State.
