The Ministry of Health said it had received reports from several provinces and cities about this incident. The Ministry of Health also directed the Department of Food Safety and the Ministry of Health office to quickly issue warnings to alert people. However, representatives of the Department of Food Safety have not yet received reports from production and business establishments about being scammed.
On October 5, 2024, the Food Safety Department sent a notice about the impersonation of inspection and examination teams to the Department of Health of provinces and cities; the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang and Bac Ninh.
Faced with the above situation, the Food Safety Department requests the directors of health departments of provinces and cities and the above-mentioned units to direct local food safety management agencies to inform all employees, provincial media agencies, and production and business establishments of the above-mentioned tricks.
In case the production and business establishments discover any suspected fake documents, they must notify the hotline of the Department of Health, the Department of Health Inspectorate, the Food Safety and Hygiene Branch or the nearest location; at the same time, coordinate with the police agency to handle cases of detected violations according to regulations.
- For provinces affected by Typhoon Yagi, it is recommended to notify food production and trading establishments and enterprises to temporarily suspend inspection and examination activities to promptly overcome the consequences of Typhoon No. 3, speed up production and business, control inflation, etc.
