Accordingly, on the afternoon of July 19, in Quang Ninh, a wonder Sea tourist boat capsized carrying 53 people due to a storm, according to a quick report from the Department of Health, 23 victims were transferred to the Provincial General Hospital and Bai Chay Hospital for emergency care, of which at least 9 victims are being cared for and treated.
In order to organize timely emergency care for the victims, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management recommends that the Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Health implement the following contents:
Continue to direct medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to be ready to receive victims and focus maximum human resources and expertise, coordinate with hospitals and leading experts to consult and promptly treat victims of the accident.
In cases that exceed the hospital's professional capacity, patients should be promptly transferred to a higher-level or specialized hospital to best treat the injured victims, minimizing patients' deaths.
Continue to proactively coordinate with relevant agencies in rescue work, timely provision of personnel to victims, while paying attention to health care, stabilizing the psychology of victims and patients' families overcoming the crisis.
The Department of Health continues to report and update the progress of treating victims and proposed opinions (if any) to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health to synthesize and report to the Ministry's leaders.
