The Hanoi People's Committee has officially perfected the personnel of the leaders of the capital's health sector by appointing Mr. Nguyen Trong Dien - Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Health - to hold the position of Director of the Hanoi Department of Health. The term of appointment is 5 years, starting from December 23, 2025.
According to Decision No. 6398/QD-UBND, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dien (born on October 17, 1974) - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Health - was accepted and transferred to work at the Hanoi Department of Health.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dien is a medical doctor, appointed as Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Health since 2018. In the 2020-2025 term, the Quang Ninh health sector will implement many important projects, creating a legal foundation for the development of the sector, notably policies to attract and treat doctors; evaluate health services; regulate spending on health - population.
Previously, Ms. Tran Thi Nhi Ha - Director of the Hanoi Department of Health - was transferred and appointed as Deputy Head of the Department at the National Assembly's Petition Committee in March 2024, currently holding the position of Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Supervision and Petition Committee. After that, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health - was assigned to be in charge of and operate the department until now.
The appointment of the Director of the Hanoi Department of Health is expected to end the period of leadership position shortages, while contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management in the health sector.
