On July 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety informed that in the context of rearranging administrative units, the unit has issued a plan to organize professional knowledge training courses for food safety management staff at the ward, commune and school units in the city.
From now until July 31, the unit will organize online training for food safety officers in 167 wards, communes and 1 special zone.
At the same time, 7 direct training courses were organized for leaders and health workers of schools from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, high school, international school, continuing education center and units under the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, on July 17, the unit will coordinate with the Center for Management of kindergartens and Urban Areas of Ho Chi Minh City National University to organize a separate training course for food processing forces in kitchens and canteens in the dormitory area, to prevent the risk of food poisoning in boarding students.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety emphasized that through training activities, the team of managers at facilities and schools will be fully equipped with knowledge, skills to monitor, identify hazards, manage food traceability as well as handle and investigate incidents.
This is an important preparation step, contributing to building a safe and healthy food environment for the city's people, especially students, to ensure the goal of preventing food poisoning in the new school year 2025-2026.
For the health of the community, each manager and food processing worker will be an "extended arm" to protect and maintain food safety and hygiene for all people in Ho Chi Minh City.
