The festival is a gathering place for volunteer hearts, where kind-hearted hearts share and donate their blood to give life to patients in need of blood.
Held for 7 consecutive days (from December 1 to 7), the program aims to mobilize and receive 3,500 units of blood. After 6 days of implementation, nearly 1,200 people have participated in blood donation, collecting about 3,000 units of blood.
The " Voluntary Heart" Blood Donation Festival has been held for 16 years, receiving more than 40,000 units of blood, contributing to ensuring blood supply for treatment before and after the Lunar New Year, bringing life opportunities to many people with serious illnesses.
The event also opened the journey of sharing love and spreading kindness from now until the Lunar New Year 2026. The units of blood received will be an important support for patients who need a blood transfusion, helping them gain more faith and hope during the treatment process.
According to statistics from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, each month this unit needs about 45,000 units of whole blood and 5,000 units of platelets to meet the emergency and treatment needs of more than 180 medical facilities in the Northern region. O blood type alone accounts for about 50% of the demand.
