    Mustard oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help heal ear infections. It also softens earwax and helps it swell for easy removal. So, you can put 5 drops of mustard oil in each ear to maintain ear health, says senior Ayurvedic consultant Dr. Bhingarde at Vedicure.

    Castor oil has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help fight fungi and bacteria. Castor oil helps restore the function of cells inside the ear and helps to overcome ear problems like cochlear abscess, says clinical endocrinologist Dr. Samudrika Patil at Vedicure Healthcare and Wellness.

    However, people with ear problems should consult a doctor before putting oil in their ears, Dr. Bhingarde adds.
