1. Gastrointestinal discomfort
Consuming too much fiber, especially from zucchini, can lead to discomfort, causing fermentation in the intestines, creating gas and bloating. Additionally, it can speed up the movement of food through the digestive tract, leading to diarrhea.
2. Allergic reactions
Zucchini can cause allergic reactions in some people, such as itching, hives, or eczema. Additionally, allergic reactions can damage the digestive system, leading to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
3. Oral allergy syndrome (OAS)
Oral allergy syndrome is a condition in which people with pollen allergies have an allergic reaction to certain fruits, vegetables, and nuts. And one of the common side effects of zucchini is causing oral allergy syndrome. Its symptoms include itching, swelling of the lips, mouth, and throat.
4. Interferes with mineral absorption
Consuming too much zucchini can interfere with the absorption of certain essential minerals such as iron and zinc.
