Thanh Hoa reclaims Padobaby powder for children

Thanh Hoa - The Department of Health has just issued a document requesting the urgent revocation of all Padobaby powder used for children.

On November 29, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health said that the unit had sent a notice to drug businesses and users across the province requesting the recall of all Padobaby powder (each 3g package contains: chlorpheniramin maleat 2mg; paracetamol 325mg).

Padobaby powder for children has circulation registration number: 893100414024 (old registration number: VD-32292-19), batch number: 110224, production date February 21, 2024, expiration date February 20, 2027, produced by Medipharco Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

The reason for the recall is that the drug violates level 3. Thanh Hoa Department of Health requires drug businesses and users in the area to recall, return to the supply facility and report the results to the Department of Health (Department of Medicine and Pharmacy) before December 25, 2025.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to propagate information to businesses, drug users and people not to trade or use Padobaby powder in the violating lot. At the same time, according to functions, tasks and authority, organize inspections, supervise the recovery and handle units and individuals who violate according to current regulations.

In addition, the Department of Health assigned the Thanh Hoa Testing Center to directly supervise the recall; the Department's functional departments will inspect the implementation of this notice and after the recall, they will strictly handle violations.

Previously, the Department of Health received Decision No. 696/QD-QLD dated November 25, 2025 of the Department of Drug Administration - Ministry of Health on recalling drugs violating level 3 for Padobaby oral powder.
