The habit of overusing antibiotics makes the disease worse

Many people are overusing and using antibiotics unreasonably, causing the disease to not only get worse but also could have many other side effects affecting health.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said that antibiotic resistance is one of the major threats to public health and has become a concern for each family.

Specifically, antibiotic resistance will occur when the body uses too many antibiotics, causing bacteria to change and no longer have the effect of using antibiotics to treat the infections they cause.

According to the WHO, understanding how to effectively use antibiotics and how to reduce drug resistance plays an important role, however, few people have been able to do this.

Many cases of coughing, fever, runny nose due to flu, cold, viral sore throat, even cough due to weather allergies or dust... are taking antibiotics without consulting a doctor.

Meanwhile, doctors have proven that antibiotics can only kill bacteria and are not effective on viruses. Therefore, antibiotics cannot be used to treat influenza or other common cold and cough caused by viruses.

In addition to using antibiotics that are not suitable for the disease, many patients have the habit of arbitrarily buying antibiotics for use, then increasing and reducing the dose and treatment time in an unscientific way.

These people often buy antibiotics to use for 2-3 days and see the disease subside, the fever goes away, the symptoms of the disease go away, they stop taking the medicine, do not continue taking it and think that if they continue taking it will harm people, and will have side effects...

Some people even change antibiotics regularly. Meanwhile, a period of antibiotic treatment must last from 5-7 days, changing the medicine regularly for a short time will make the body resist the drug.

Strong antibiotics are often new-generation, expensive antibiotics indicated for severe, dangerous infections... and on some bacteria that are oily with old-generation antibiotics.

However, many people have the mentality of hoping for a quick recovery, so they have the habit of regularly using strong antibiotics.

Therefore, in common cases of fever and cough that patients have used strong antibiotics, it will cause waste and contribute to increasing the resistance of bacteria to drugs.

Maybe because of their "pre-editing" preference, many people often take antibiotics with others. However, it must be remembered that others may have different infections and cannot use the same antibiotic as themselves, which can make the body resistant to drugs.

Each antibiotic can only fight a few types of bacteria. If you use the right specifications, the disease will subside in just a few days, the longest time for an antibiotic treatment is 7 - 10 days.

However, if you do not use the right typical antibiotics for a long time, the disease will not only not subside, but the pathogenic bacteria in the body will gradually get used to it and produce resistant strains.

In addition to the problem of prolonging the time of taking medicine, many people use inadequate doses of antibiotics and not enough treatment time.

Using antibiotics unscientifically is also a "disease" that many people suffer from. One of the downsides of antibiotics is that they will harm beneficial bacteria if users overuse them.

Therefore, take antibiotics according to your doctor's instructions. If you abuse them with antibiotics, they will kill all the beneficial bacteria in the intestines, weakening the body's resistance.
