On November 12, Dr. Ton That Toan - Deputy Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Khanh Hoa province - said that at this time, the number of people with seasonal flu in the province is on the rise due to prolonged rain and cold weather.
The common seasonal flu is not dangerous and people can recover after 5-7 days.
However, if the disease is left untreated for a long time, it can lead to complications such as severe respiratory infection, pneumonia or Bacterial resistance.
According to doctors, when having a high fever that does not improve, is tired, coughs a lot... then you have to go to the hospital for proper examination and treatment, especially for children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with underlying diseases.
At the same time, people should be vaccinated against seasonal flu to proactively protect their health.
In fact, Khanh Hoa has recorded many cases of influenza but did not see or treat them early, leading to infection for the whole family.
To prevent seasonal flu, CDC Khanh Hoa recommends that people:
Maintain personal hygiene and a clean living environment; Increase nutrition, supplement with lots of green vegetables and fruits; Regularly wash your hands with soap, especially before eating and after going to the toilet; When someone in the family has the flu, you need to be temporarily isolated for a few days to avoid spreading.
