Developing medical human resource training for Binh Duong
On November 28, at Thu Dau Mot University (Binh Duong), a seminar was held on cooperation in developing the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector to meet the development requirements of Binh Duong province and the Southeast region.
Attending the seminar were many scientists in the health field, representatives of hospitals and health management agencies in Binh Duong.
At the seminar, delegates discussed the strategy for health care development in Binh Duong province. According to the delegates, Binh Duong is a leading province in economic development, but health care development is not up to par. Binh Duong still does not have a specialized hospital. For specialized medical examination and treatment, patients still have to travel a long distance to Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, provinces with a population of 1.5 million or more need a health care training facility. Binh Duong has nearly 3 million people, so it needs 2 or more training facilities.
To develop public health care, Binh Duong needs to build training facilities to produce labor for the health care sector. First of all, improve the medical training capacity at the province's training facilities.
Delegates recommended that there should be close coordination between the Department of Health and universities. The province also needs a mechanism to build facilities for training schools and an open mechanism to build human resources for schools. Taking advantage of the force of doctors with masters and PhDs working at Binh Duong General Hospital and other hospitals in the area can be lecturers to teach.
Besides, Binh Duong needs to gather people (good doctors, PhDs in the medical field) who are dedicated to developing medical human resource training.
According to delegates, Thu Dau Mot University is a facility under the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, so it can take advantage of many advantages to develop and improve the quality of medical human resource training.
Dr. Doan Ngoc Xuan - Principal of Thu Dau Mot University said that regarding infrastructure, the province has a policy for the school to manage a facility attached to the hospital so that it can coordinate in training work.
Thu Dau Mot University's policy is to train medical bachelors and highly qualified nurses. Although it is behind, the school will have quality steps, contributing to building human resources for the development of Binh Duong's healthcare sector.
Attending the workshop, Mr. Quach Trung Nguyen - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Health, said that the industry is currently submitting a master plan for health development in Binh Duong province. The plan emphasizes the development of health human resource training.
According to Mr. Quach Trung Nguyen, the current time is favorable, with all the factors converging for Binh Duong province to develop a medical human resource training facility. Regarding management, the department will create favorable conditions for Thu Dau Mot University right from the beginning of establishing health training...
Regarding the mechanism, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Binh Duong province are very interested in and support Thu Dau Mot University. The Department will be responsible for coordinating with the school in training medical personnel and healthcare personnel for the people.
