Speaking at the seminar "To connect VNeID safely and conveniently", Ms. Le Thi Ha - Head of the Department of E-commerce Management, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said: Recently, there have been cases of sales of goods and products that do not ensure safety and quality on digital platforms such as fake milk that has just been exposed.
Upon receiving feedback from the press and management agencies, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy requested major digital platforms for e-commerce and intermediary digital platforms to remove thousands of products including functional foods and dairy.
"Yesterday, we have also requested some drug platforms to remove all retail products of prescription drugs. Many major pharmaceutical platforms still retail prescription drugs in the e-commerce environment. We have sent an official dispatch requesting the removal and posting of warning information," informed a representative of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy.
In the coming time, it is necessary to identify in the e-commerce environment to be able to develop.
First, we must create digital trust. Trust comes from consumers but needs to come from the trust of sellers, the trust of digital platform owners. Although sellers are in a virtual environment, they cannot be virtual, they must be identified.
"We hope that when digital trust is legalized by identity authentication, sellers in the virtual environment will be more realistic and control seller information better. Even when detecting counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods can ask sellers to provide information and remove goods and products," Ms. Ha emphasized.
According to Ms. Ha, in addition to digital trust, there is a basis for using VNeID. This is a matter of digital management, no longer a matter of document management.
"When there is VNeID, specific and legalized regulations, the management of e-commerce activities, especially sellers, will be more transparent," said Ms. Ha.
According to Ms. Le Thi Ha, e-commerce platforms are not only general digital platforms but also include intermediary digital platforms and social networks. Because social networks today are also a very special and special sales channel, able to connect sellers and buyers.
