Ba Ria - Vung Tau - from the beginning of the year until now, the whole province has recorded 1,377 cases of measles rash, mainly not vaccinated against epidemics.

On April 15, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province said that from the beginning of 2025, the whole province has recorded 1,377 cases of measles rash.

In the first 3 months of the year, the number of cases has increased over the same period, mainly not vaccinated against measles.

In particular, Vung Tau City is the highest locality with 475 cases. Phu My City recorded 232 cases; Ba Ria City recorded 182 cases; Long Dat district recorded 185 cases ...

Facing the above situation, the health sector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau has implemented additional injections of two measles - rubella vaccines for children from 1 to 10 years old in localities across the province.

According to the provincial CDC, in the last 3 weeks, the number of cases recorded measles rash in the area has decreased. However, agencies, units, localities and people are still not neglected in measles prevention and control.

People need to take the initiative in vaccinating measles prevention, especially cases of high risk (people with chronic lung disease, diabetes, blood pressure, people over 50 years old); perform well environmental sanitation and enhance the body's resistance.
