Mr. Ngo Van Man - Chairman of the Trade Union of Kon Tum Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. said that the trade union visited, shared and supported the family of female worker Bui Thi Le Thuy (born in 1991), residing in village 6, Plei Kan town, Ngoc Hoi district after a heartbreaking accident.
The unit has supported the family with funds to arrange Ms. Thuy's funeral and contributed to paying for the hospital fees for her daughter, Nguyen Thi Anh Phuong (9 years old, 3rd grade student).
The child is currently being treated at Kon Tum General Hospital with a traumatic brain injury and internal organ damage.
The accident occurred on the afternoon of March 28, 2025, when Ms. Thuy was picking up her child from school when she was suddenly hit by a large truck.
Although she was taken to the emergency room by the people immediately afterwards, due to the seriousness of her injuries, she did not survive.
Ms. Thuy's family situation is very difficult. The whole family lives in a makeshift house, without any valuable assets. Her husband, Mr. Nguyen Van Hop (born in 1985), is a freelancer with an unstable income, and has two young children of school age.
Mr. Ngo Van Man shared: Previously, the Plei Kan Rubber Farm Trade Union proposed to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" for Ms. Thuys family. However, because she has not worked for enough years, it cannot be done yet".
According to Mr. Man, it was expected that in 2025, the company would include her family in the list of support for building a small house to shield her from the sun and rain, but before it could be done, a heartbreaking accident occurred.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Hung - Chairman of the Plei Kan Rubber Farm Trade Union expressed his grief: "The accident took away the mother and the breadwinner in the family. The workers all sympathize with Ms. Thuy's situation".
