The Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund supports union members
On the afternoon of December 2, the working delegation of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor led by Mr. Cao Nguyen Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - directly presented gifts and visited workers affected by storms and floods in Thai Hoa, Nghia Dan, Hai Chau communes.
Accordingly, the Golden Heart Social and Cultural Fund has decided to allocate 50 million VND to support union members and workers affected by storms and floods in Nghe An. This is an act of profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the Trade Union organization for workers who suffered many losses due to natural disasters.
The support levels are allocated according to the level of damage: 2 million VND/household for cases of flooded houses; 5 million VND/person for cases of house collapse or injuries requiring treatment; 10 million VND/household for cases of workers and laborers dying.
After a full review, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor approved support for 22 union members and workers affected by the flood in 2025, including 2 cases receiving 5 million VND and 20 cases receiving 2 million VND.
The working group presented gifts at the Trade Union of TH Milk Company (under the Trade Union of Nghia Dan Commune) and the Trade Union of Nghe An Bridge and Road Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (under the Trade Union of Nghia Dan Ward). Each support section to union members is implemented directly, publicly and transparently to ensure the right subjects, the right level, and the right circumstances.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Cao Nguyen Hung emphasized the important role of workers and the duties of the Trade Union organization: Trade unions always play a role in protecting and caring for union members. Although these supports are not too large in material terms, they contain the affection, responsibility and companionship of the Trade Union organization with workers in the most difficult times.
Mobilizing the gratitude of workers
The gifts given are not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for workers who have to overcome the loss after natural disasters. Many union members could not hide their emotions at the gift-giving ceremony.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyen (born in 1978) - a worker at Nghe An Bridge and Road Investment and Export Joint Stock Company - expressed: "The recent flood has greatly affected my family. The house was completely flooded, we had to evacuate at the request of the authorities. The fence fell 50m, the roof was blown off, all the tools such as washing machines, refrigerators, and motorbikes were severely damaged by the water. All poultry and trees were floating. With the current income, it will take my family a long time to recover. The gift from the Union really warms my heart.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoang - a worker at TH Milk Company - also shared the situation: "My house was flooded with half an apartment, my children's books, TVs, refrigerators, and motorbikes were all damaged. The Trade Union has always accompanied us, not only on this occasion but for many years. I am very grateful and will try harder in my work to complete the task well".
Not only the workers, but also the grassroots trade unions also sent their thanks to the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Golden Heart Fund for their close and timely attention. The units said that such direct support not only helps people overcome difficulties but also strengthens the union members' trust in the Trade Union organization.
