After the second round of the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic broke the record of legend Roger Federer for the most Grand Slam matches in history.

After the second round of the 2025 Australian Open, Novak Djokovic officially broke Roger Federer (429)'s record for the most Grand Slam matches in history (430). The Serbian star is also the first male tennis player over 30 to reach 150 victories at a Grand Slam.

Only three men's tennis players have played more than 300 matches in major tournaments, namely Djokovic, Federer and Rafael Nadal (358).

Among the top 10 players on the list, Djokovic also has the highest winning percentage. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has won more than 88% of his games (379 wins, 51 losses). Nadal (87.7%) and Federer (86%) are close behind.

Djokovic will have a chance to leave the other players on this list a long way off. The women's record holder is Serena Williams, with 423 Grand Slam appearances. Her winning rate is 86.8%.

Now, the 37-year-old star is continuing to chase his 100th championship title and his 25th Grand Slam title, entering the third round of the Australian Open.
