Vietnamese tennis players entered the finals of 3 events at the U18 - J30 Ninh Binh 1 International Tennis Tournament which ended on the evening of November 17.

This year's tournament takes place at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Center tennis court complex. This is one of the important tournaments in the series of year-end international sports events of the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), and is also associated with the 3rd Ninh Binh Festival in 2024 with the theme "Heritage Flow".

After a week of exciting competition, the ITF - J30 Ninh Binh 1 2024 International Tennis Tournament has ended, nearly 100 players from 20 countries around the world have competed fiercely in matches of equal strength and skill. The talented young athletes have dedicated to the audience top matches with beautiful and dramatic shots.

The two remarkable and emotional finals of this year's tournament in the men's and women's doubles categories both featured Vietnamese players.

The host country's Vietnamese athlete pair Pham La Hoang Anh and Duong Hoang Cuong excellently won the men's doubles championship after defeating Yang Daniel and Oh Seung Min (Korea).

Accordingly, the two Korean players won the first set quite easily with a score of 6-1, but the two young Vietnamese players Hoang Anh and Hoang Cuong came back in the second set with a 6-0 victory and continued to win 10-2 in the super tie break match, to bring the championship to Vietnamese youth tennis.

In the women's doubles, Vietnamese players Hong Hanh and Thuy Khanh also entered the final, facing Riho Goto (Japan) and Kang Yebin (Korea). In the first set, the two Vietnamese players lost 4-6, then they won 7-5 in the second set but lost in the super tie break 7-10, thereby losing 1-2 overall to receive the runner-up position.

In the men's singles, Vietnamese tennis player Nguyen Dai Khanh also entered the final. However, he could not create a surprise against Lee Gyu Dan (Korea), thereby losing the match 0-2 (2-6, 4-6), receiving the runner-up position.

In the women's singles, tennis player Riho Goto (Japan) defeated tennis player Farid Aleena (India) with a score of 2-0 (6-0, 6-2) to win the championship.

The ITF U18 Ninh Binh 2 International Tennis Tournament will continue from November 18 to 24. Young players will continue to enter the qualifying round with dramatic matches to conquer the highest position in this tournament.
