Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) - said: "The tournament is held to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 2010 - March 8, 2025), giving opportunities for female tennis players to demonstrate the beauty and talent of women in tennis; exchanging, connecting and participating in meaningful activities to develop sports movements, connect the community; contributing to promoting and boosting tourism trade in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
With the goal of promoting the development of grassroots women's tennis, as well as creating more attraction for the event, the organizing committee also allowed more than 20 male athletes to participate, along with some professional female tennis players such as Ngo Hong Hanh, Le Thao Han, Phan Diem Quynh of the Army unit to also participate.
A total of more than 100 athletes will participate and compete in 6 events, including: Men's and women's doubles (regardless of age), women's open doubles (regardless of age), women's doubles under 40 years old (for athletes born from 1985 onwards), women's doubles over 40 years old (born from 1984 onwards), men's doubles over 35 years old (born from 1990 onwards), men's doubles over 35 years old (born from 1990 onwards).
The new feature of the tournament is the policy of socializing sports and sports economics that VTF has pioneered. On the sidelines of tennis matches, tournaments are highlighted with a series of special activities on fashion, talents, booths displaying regional specialties...
