According to The Times of Israel, the Israeli air force attacked the city of Masyaf located in the west of Hama province, Syria, on the night of September 8 (local time).
The Syrian state news agency (SANA) added that the airstrike took place exactly at 11:20 p.m. and that the Syrian defense system intercepted many missiles from the Israeli air force.
The place Israel is targeting in this area is the Scientific Studies and Research Center (CERS).

Since the civil war in Syria broke out in 2011, Israel has carried out repeated airstrikes on Iranian military facilities in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that seven people were killed in the attack. Among those killed were three civilians and four soldiers.
According to SOHR observations, there were about 13 explosions at CERS, injuring 15 nearby civilians.
Currently, there has been no further comment from Israel on this attack, but previously Israel repeatedly stated that it wanted to eliminate all Iranian soldiers in Syria.
