Clarke Gayford - the boyfriend of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern posted a photo of his daughter and wrote a letter of thanks to the female Prime Minister for her child growing up in a safer world.

Ms. Jacinda Ardern's boyfriend posted a photo of the hand of little Neve - the couple's daughter, holding her father's hand tightly on Twitter on March 21.

"Celebrating the 9th birthday of our baby, we received the gift of a cow. And the gift that mothers give to their children is to have a safer country for their children to grow up in" he wrote.

The boyfriend thanked the New Zealand Prime Minister after she banned the sale of semi- Military-automatic guns in the country under the new law after the Christchurch attack.

Ardern is the second leader in the world to have a child when she is in office, after female Pakistanese Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto gave birth to a daughter in 1990. Ms. Ardern and her gayford boyfriend's daughter, Neve Te aroha Ardern, was born in June 2018.
