The dialogue of Russian President Vladimir Putin "Results of the year" began at noon on December 19, Moscow time (around 4:00 p.m. on December 19, Hanoi time).
The event took place at the main gustiny Dvor exhibition hall in Moscow. Hundreds of journalists, including foreigners, will be present at the event.
"We want the whole world to hear what President Putin says," said Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
This year's program will not be broadcast live from Russian regions as every year. However, the public has the opportunity to question the Russian President over the phone.
Before the official start of the program, TASS reported that more than 2.1 million questions were sent via various channels. The first is sending questions via phone, followed by sending questions via chatbot on the Max messaging app - the first test of this year.
When asked about which issues were "transferred to the president", Mr. Peskov said that the Russian President still received some random questions. "But we are trying to give him a panoramic view, full of all aspects," he said.
Previously, the TV show for dialogues with President Putin and the press conference were held separately. Since 2001, there have been a total of 18 talk shows with President Putin and 16 major press conferences held independently.
The combination of 2 events into 1 has been taking place since the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the two independent events were organized by the Kremlin, but since 2023, the combined form has been used.
Unlike many previous years, this year's event is held on Friday instead of Thursday during the week.
In recent years, dialogues with President Putin and major press conferences have typically lasted about four hours or more.
