Mr. Oleg Kryuchkov - information policy advisor to the head of Crimea - made the above assessment when commenting on the news that Washington allowed Kiev to use US weapons to attack the peninsula.
Previously, Politico quoted a senior White House official as saying that the US left open the possibility that weapons supplied to Ukraine could be used to carry out attacks on Crimea, considering it an act of "self-defense". At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov also announced the possibility of using US-supplied weapons to attack Crimea.
"There is no need to make hasty conclusions about this information. As you know, chickens are counted in the fall. You will see how Ukrainian nationalism will flee from the new territories controlled by our army instead of attacking Crimea.
All their aggressive plans will become a boomerang that takes them back, but with much stronger impacts and irreparable consequences," Sputnik quoted Kryuchkov as saying.
In the context of Russia's special military campaign, Western countries continue to supply weapons to Ukraine.
Specifically, Washington recently announced that it would provide Kiev with a military aid package worth nearly $1 billion. The aid package includes artillery shells, 1,000 anti-tank missiles Javelin, armored ambulances, explosives and medicine.
On its side, Russia has repeatedly stated that the provision of weapons to Ukraine only prolongs the conflict, while shipments of arms have become legal targets for the Russian Aerospace Forces.
