On July 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the low pressure inside the country's forecast area (PAR) could develop into a tropical depression in the coming days and will be named "Bising" if it strengthens into a storm in the Philippine forecast area.
According to the latest storm news from PAGASA, the center of the low pressure at 8:00 a.m. on July 1 was at about 16.0 degrees north latitude, 127.2 degrees east longitude, 545 km east of Casiguran, Aurora.
PAGASA typhoon forecaster Obet Badrina said that although the possibility of this low pressure strengthening into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours is at a moderate level, the chance will increase gradually in the next few days.
The exact path of the depression has not yet been determined, it could move inland over Luzon or change direction, drifting far from the coast due to its location near eastern Luzon.
PAGASA recommends that people continue to monitor official weather forecasts to update the situation. Today, the low pressure trough caused by this system continues to bring thunderstorms in many areas such as Bicol, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora and Quezon.

From July 2 to 5, PAGASA forecasts that showers and thunderstorms will continue to persist over much of Luzon and Visayas as a combination of the low pressure trough and the southwest monsoon. Meanwhile, rainfall in Mindanao is expected to gradually decrease.
According to PAGASA statistics, July is usually the peak of the typhoon season with an average of 2 to 3 storms forming. Therefore, any scenarios for the current low pressure area - from strengthening into a storm, changing direction or making landfall - need to be closely monitored in the coming days.
On July 1, the Vietnam National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also issued a warning of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and strong gusts of wind at sea in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Central and South East Sea (including the Truong Sa special zone). The sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Waves are 1.5-2.5m high.
Regarding rain forecasts, in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Rainfall from 7pm on June 30 to 8am on July 1 was over 100mm in some places such as: Thu Lum (Lai Chau), Ban Ngo (Tuyen Quang), Dam Ha (Quang Ninh), Ban Qua (Lao Cai)
It is forecasted that from the morning of July 1 to the night of July 2, in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. The common rainfall was 40-100mm, locally over 250mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/3 hours).
From July 3, heavy rain in the North will gradually decrease.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas and industrial parks, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides in steep slopes.
