South Korea has just decided to provide a humanitarian aid package worth 500,000 USD to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of storms and floods in the Central region.

In recent years, South Korea has repeatedly supported Vietnam in responding to natural disasters. In 2024, South Korea will provide 2 million USD to help Vietnam overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 Yagi, including emergency relief and repairing and rebuilding houses.

By October 2025, South Korea will continue to deploy a $1 million support package for the Northern region after a major storm.

According to the Korean Government, this $500,000 aid for the Central region will be transferred as soon as possible, based on discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam - the focal agency in charge of natural disaster response work. The goal is to prioritize support for the right areas and the right people in need of urgent help.

The Korean government and people expressed their hope that this support will help Vietnam quickly stabilize people's lives, overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon return to normal life after a series of consecutive natural disasters.
