RT reported that a new video appeared online on February 6 showing the US F-35C fighter jet landing and sliding off the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in the East Sea.
The incident occurred on January 24. The US Pacific fleet said the F-35C pilot was performing regular flight operations when it encountered a " mislander" on the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson.
While the launcher was allowed to go out and was soon rescued by a military helicopter, the incident injured 6 other crew members and caused the F-35C to be thrown off the ship, into the sea and not yet salvaged.
The new video, perhaps filmed by a member of the aircraft carrier's crew, shows the F-35C fighter jet approaching the aircraft carrier to land, seemingly hitting the deck of the ship, then being blown up and burning.
The collision pushed the parts of the rear of the plane away, causing the plane to wade on the deck.
The film shows the rear of the F-35 catching fire as soon as it collides. The pilot was lucky to be launched in time as the plane was leaning to the left at that time, and the launcher took the pilot straight to the sea, not into the right wing of the plane.
The plane then slipped on the deck, fell from the aircraft carrier and crashed into the sea. Firefighters were spotted a few seconds after the plane crashed.
A scene of the accident from another perspective had appeared earlier, showing the plane adrift on the aircraft carrier right before landing and crashing into the holdings. Another leak shows the plane floating at sea immediately after the incident.
Although the US Navy has not immediately commented on the appearance of the new video, it has confirmed the authenticity of the previous leaks.
