The Government's electronic information portal (at chinhphu.vn) will broadcast live the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025).
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, will pay an official visit to Russia and attend the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that leaders and delegations from 29 countries will attend the important celebration.


Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik Radio: "For me, when world leaders attend the Victory Day parade, they will not only participate in an international event, a diplomatic event, a historic anniversary from all perspectives... They will come to us to share the emotions, the things that make an important part of our nature as a nation and a country."
The parade in Red Square will start at 10:00 a.m. on May 9, local time (14:00 a.m. on May 9, Vietnam time) and is expected to last for 2 hours.
Traditionally, the browsing ceremony on the Red Square will include the following contents: the procession of the Russian flag and the victory flag to the Red Square; President Vladimir Putin said; One minute of memorizing the soldiers who died in the great national defense war; The forces participated in the parade and the monumental performance of the combat vehicles on the modern set, in the equipment of the Russian Army.
If the weather conditions are favorable, the Russian Aerospace Forces will perform in Red Square.
The forces participating in the parade in Red Square include Russian soldiers as well as soldiers from countries that are friendly to Russia. In the list of 13 foreign military groups participating in this important event, there is the Vietnam People's Army.
Preparations for the solemn celebration began in early April and even earlier - in late February when the Yars mobile surface-to-surface missile system was deployed near Moscow for training.



As usual, modern military equipment will be displayed at the parade, with the full participation of all branches of the Russian Armed Forces, along with representatives of law enforcement agencies and students of military academies.
In total, more than 10,000 people will participate in this year's parade - an event that not only celebrates the victory, but also demonstrates the strength and solidarity of Russia.
