The Russian Investigative Committee launched a terrorist investigation following a major railway incident in the country's west on November 11 - RT reported. Officials said the blast caused more than a dozen cargo ships to derail.
In a statement posted on Telegram, the Russian Investigative Committee said it had opened a criminal case for terrorism and illegally owning explosives or explosives.

Governor Ryazan Pavel Malkov said that the derailed train cars were carrying fertilizer. The video released by the Investigative Committee shows one of the train cars bearing the words PhosAgro - Russia's leading chemical company.
In recent months, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced the arrest of Ukrainian agents accused of plotting to attack traffic infrastructure.
Kiev has repeatedly sought to target various Russian infrastructure facilities, including transportation facilities, by using drones and missiles.
