Electric cars are currently one of the fields that Elon Musk is focusing on and this billionaire owns the world's largest electric vehicle brand, Tesla, with a market capitalization of over $400 billion.
Elon Musk often mentions environmental issues such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions or limiting the use of fossil fuels as the focus when introducing his electric vehicle models.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump is very indifferent to environmental issues. When he was still in office as President of the United States, he withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement in 2017, which led Elon Musk to stop supporting him.
Even Donald Trump had a negative view of the electric vehicle production industry, believing that electric cars would destroy the US economy and the country should produce and burn more oil.
However, Donald Trump's attitude has completely changed after Elon Musk announced that he would provide $45 million per month to support his election campaign at the end of last month. He said in a recent speech: “I fully support electric cars. I have to do this because Elon Musk has supported me a lot.”
Elon Musk had previously also donated $5,000 to US presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2011. This is a relatively small donation compared to what this tech billionaire has committed to providing to Donald Trump.
It is easy to understand the reason behind Elon Musk's decision is that he believes Tesla will greatly benefit if Donald Trump's new policies are implemented once he is elected as President of the United States.
