CNN reported that Donald Trump attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Republican Party has officially nominated him as a candidate to participate in the 2024 US presidential election . Mr. Donald Trump chose Ohio Senator, Mr. JD Vance, to run for Vice President.
Former President Donald Trump entered the hall with a bandage around his ear. A large white bandage covered most of his right ear.
The former President was greeted by an excited crowd in Milwaukee with chants of “Fight,” a reference to Mr. Trump's words after the assassination. The crowd cheered “America! America" and "We want Mr. Trump!" when singer Lee Greenwood performed the song "God Bless the USA!".
Mr. Trump and Mr. Vance sat with the former President's family. The Ohio senator sat next to House Speaker Mike Johnson. Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was also seen sitting in the same row as Mr. Trump.

In an interview on "The Benny Show" podcast on July 15, former White House doctor Ronny Jackson said the bullet grazed Mr. Trump's ear, causing part of his ear to be severed. The doctor examined Mr. Trump's wound and bandaged it early in the morning so he could attend the Republican conference.
The doctor confirmed that "there was no concussive impact from the bullet" because it was far enough away from Mr. Trump's head. However, the bullet severed the top of the former President's ear, causing a lot of bleeding. The doctor said Mr. Trump will be fine, the wound will heal without needing to do anything.
Previously, on July 13, while giving a campaign speech in Butler, Pennsylvania, Mr. Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet. The suspect who assassinated Mr. Trump was identified by the FBI as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20 years old, who was killed at the scene.
Mr. Donald Trump is in good spirits after the dramatic shooting. The former President also emphasized that the Republican National Convention continued as planned, and he appeared in public for the first time just 2 days after the failed assassination attempt .
