Russian rocket artillery fires heavy attack on Ukrainian forces

Russian MLRS grade rocket artillery launched a fierce attack on a Ukrainian force base south of Donetsk.

On October 1 local time, the Russian Defense Ministry released a video of MLRS grade self-propelled rocket artillery shelling by yourok Group against a Ukrainian Armed Forces base in southern Donetsk.

MLRSgrad is a 122 mm multiple rocket launcher system. Each launcher is equipped with 40 launch tubes, mounted on the Ural-375D truck chassis.

Russian military personnel can launch a missile or a series of missiles depending on the target.

MLRSgrad can launch guided or unguided missiles to destroy enemy tanks and vehicles, while causing serious damage to runways, airports, ports and many other facilities.

Sputnik reported that on October 1, the Russian Defense Ministry said that units of the Central Group had taken control of the Krutoy Yar settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Meanwhile, Russian servicemen of the Western Group also took control of Vishnevoye village in Kharkov region.

The enemy suffered up to 410 soldiers, 5 vehicles, a 155 mm M777 rocket launcher made in the US, a 155 mm FH70 rocket launcher made in the UK, two D-30 122 mm rocket launches, two 105 mm M119 rocket launches made in the US and the Enclave-N electronic warfare station. Two ammunition depots were destroyed, the Russian Defense Ministry added.

Units of the Northern Group in the Liptsov and Volchansky directions defeated the formations of the 57th Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 36th Marine Brigade and the 113th ground defense Brigade in the residential areas of Liptsy, Volchansk and Volchanskie Khutora in the Kharkov region - the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

In the area of responsibility of the Southern Group, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 900 soldiers, 5 vehicles, 155 mm guns: M777 and M198 manufactured in the US, one 152 mm self-propelled gun Akatsiya, one 152 mm D-20 gun, 122 mm D-30 gun and 105 mm L-119 gun manufactured in the UK. An ammunition depot was destroyed.

In the area of responsibility of the Eastern Group, Ukraine lost 125 servicemen, one tank, one infantry fighting vehicle, 6 vehicles, a Polish-made 155 mm Krab self-propelled gun and a 122 mm D-30 gun. Two ammunition depots were destroyed, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
