10 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying towards the Russian capital Moscow were shot down on the morning of June 6.

"The air defense systems of the Russian Defense Ministry repelled an attack by 6 drones approaching Moscow," Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on Telegram.

He later added that four other enemy drones on their way to Moscow were also destroyed. Mayor Sobyanin announced: "The air defense forces have destroyed 3 more drones flying towards the Moscow region". A few minutes later, he posted that another Ukrainian UAV had been destroyed.

"Emergency services are working at the site where debris from the destroyed UAVs fell," the Moscow Mayor said.

Previously, in the context of the Russian capital being targeted by Ukrainian drones, temporary restrictions were imposed on flights to and from Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky and Sheremetyevo airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
