On the morning of January 8, 2025, the ASEAN Women's Circle in Hanoi (AWCH) held a friendly meeting on the occasion of the New Year 2025. The meeting was attended by Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam as guest of honor, and Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, wife of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Honorary President of AWCH.
The meeting is the first activity of the AWCH Group in 2025 with the goal of contributing to further strengthening solidarity and friendship among ASEAN countries, enhancing cooperation with partners, and promoting Vietnamese culture to international friends.

Interacting with the guests, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam, expressed her joy at meeting again the members of the AWCH Group as well as the female Ambassadors and spouses of Ambassadors of ASEAN Partners.
The Lady warmly congratulated the success and acknowledged the efforts, dedication and contributions of the AWCH Group to the building and development of the ASEAN Community over the past 10 years.
Sharing that 2025 has many important milestones for both ASEAN and Vietnam, namely the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN Community (2015-2025), the 30th anniversary of Vietnam joining ASEAN (1995-2025)..., the Lady believes that the AWCH Group will continue to unite and contribute to strengthening solidarity, cohesion and cooperation among ASEAN countries, and between ASEAN and its Partners, together building an increasingly strong and cohesive ASEAN family.
On this occasion, Madam Ngo Phuong Ly congratulated Laos on successfully fulfilling its role as ASEAN Chair 2024 and believed that Malaysia would successfully assume this responsibility in 2025.

Ms. Akiko Morioka, Spouse of the Malaysian Ambassador, shared that wives have an important mission in promoting cohesion, nurturing love and friendship between nations and peoples. Therefore, the activities of the AWCH Group are a very useful opportunity for wives to exchange new ideas and explore opportunities to build a strong and united ASEAN Community together, and more importantly, to strive together for noble ideals in life.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang spoke highly of the role and practical contributions of the AWCH Group over the past 10 years, contributing to enhancing exchanges, understanding, and promoting the unique culture of ASEAN countries.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that 2025 also has many major milestones for Vietnam such as the 80th anniversary of the country's founding, 50 years of national reunification, 30 years of Vietnam joining ASEAN...
Affirming the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' support for the activities of the AWCH Group, the Deputy Minister hoped that the Group would continue to have a successful and enthusiastic 2025, with many meaningful and diverse initiatives and programs, thereby increasingly fostering friendship, solidarity and cooperation among ASEAN member countries and with ASEAN Partners, as well as spreading good community values.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the female Ambassadors and their spouses from ASEAN countries and ASEAN Partners in Hanoi also expressed their emotion and appreciation for the attention and support of Madam Ngo Phuong Ly and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the activities of the AWCH Group, sharing their feelings and experiences about the country and people of Vietnam.
