According to Greece News, Antonis Mavropoulos - President of the International solid waste Association - planned to land ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 to Nairobi (Kenya) to attend an annual United Nations environment meeting.
However, he could not get on the flight in time, due to a 2-minute delay. "I was very upset because no one helped me get to the gate on time," AFP quoted Antonis' comments under a photo of ethiopian Airlines' ET302 flight ticket.
The lucky man booked another flight later and was stopped by airport security. "They took me to the police station at the airport. The officer advised me not to get angry but to thank God that I was the only passenger who did not board the ET302 flight and lost contact just 6 minutes after takeoff," Antonis shared.
The man added that the authorities wanted to question why he did not board the plane, cross- check his criminal record and many other things to know for sure why he was the only passenger who booked a ticket but did not board this flight.
Antonis admitted that he was shocked by the incident with Flight ET302 - a flight he should have been there.
On the morning of March 10, ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 from Addis Ababa city, Ethiopia to the capital Nairobi of Kenya crashed just 6 minutes after takeoff. Shortly after, ethiopian Airlines confirmed that all 157 passengers and crew on the flight were killed.
So far, the victims have been identified from more than 30 different countries and at least 19 UN members.
The plane in distress was the Boeing 737 Max 8, the same type as the Lion Air (Indonesia) plane that crashed last October. Regarding this incident, the Chinese side has suspended operations of the Boeing 737 Max aircraft. Boeing has also stepped in to investigate the incident.
