According to RT, about 12,500 soldiers participated in the drill in Red Square. More than 150 types of military equipment are pouring into central Moscow, revealing how many "huge" weapons will participate in the parade on Victory Day 9.5.
In previous parade ceremonies, the T-72 battle tank was displayed with the most modern improvements. The T-72B3, appearing during the drill, is a transformative upgrade package for the famous T-72 tank line, still considered one of the most modern tanks in the world.
The Tor-M2DT short-range anti-aircraft missile complex, launched at a parade last year, is expected to continue to appear again this year. The tor-M2DT anti-aircraft missile carrier is specially designed to be mounted on the chassis of the DT-30PM chain reaction truck and can easily operate on thick, snow-white terrain, and has been tested in the Arctic. The entire Tor-M2DT complex is expected to be absorbed into the Russian military payroll in the Arctic.
Russia's new attack drones, the Korsar and Katran UAVs, will be introduced for the first time in this year's parade. These UAVs seem to be mounted on vehicles with weapons and not fly on their own, but any surprise can happen.
Earlier in the week, the crew participating in the parade completed preparations for the event - according to the Russian Defense Ministry. A series of aircraft expected to participate in the parade include strategic and tactical bombing aircraft, fighter jets and aerial support aircraft, and many types of helicopters. At least two modern Su-57 fighters are also expected to fly over Red Square on May 9.
