Al Mashira reported that on January 6, the Houthi forces announced a successful attack targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the southern Red Sea.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the attack used two cruise missiles and four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to disrupt preparations for further US airstrikes on Yemen.
Also on January 6, the Houthis revealed more information about a series of attacks on targets in Israel. Most of the attacks used UAVs and targeted many Israeli military sites in the Jaffa area.
However, the Houthis did not specify the time of the strikes or the results of the Israeli and US airstrikes, nor did they reveal the damage. Mr. Saree only said the attacks had “caused a significant impact.”
The US and Israel have yet to respond to this statement.
