On October 15, the Russian Ministry of National Defense posted a video showing that Uragan MLRS teams of the artillery brigade of the Yug Group of Forces moved from shelters to the combat zone in the direction of Kurakhovo in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk.
At the firing position, Russian servicemen deployed combat vehicles and aimed at the target identified by the UAV. The combat vehicles opened accurate fire on the enemy's stronghold and hit nearby combat vehicles of the Ukrainian armed forces.
In its daily update, the Russian Ministry of National Defense said that the Russian "Western" group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of five Ukrainian brigades in different areas of Kharkov, Donetsk and Lugansk, and repelled four counterattacks, with Ukrainian losses reaching 300 soldiers.
Units of the Army Group “North” in the Liptsov and Volchansky directions defeated the 57th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and the 113th Army Defense Brigade in the area of Volchansk and Velikiye Prokhody settlements of Kharkov. The losses of the Ukrainian side amounted to 30 soldiers, 2 cars and a field ammunition depot.
The Ukrainian army lost up to 590 people in the area of operation of the "South" group. The enemy also lost 1 armored fighting vehicle, 2 cars, 1 American-made 155mm M777 howitzer, 1 D-30 122mm howitzer and 1 American-made 105mm M119 howitzer.
Units of the "East" group of troops took more advantageous positions, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 58th Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 21st Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Velikaya Novoselka and Oktyabr of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy's losses amounted to 95 soldiers, 1 armored personnel carrier, 4 cars and 1 155mm Bogdan self-propelled gun.
