On October 15, the Russian Defense Ministry posted a video saying that the MLRS Uragan teams of the artillery Brigade of the Yug Forces Group had moved from their shelter to the combat area in the direction of Kurakhovo in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk.
At the firing location, Russian soldiers deployed fighter jets and targeted targets identified by UAVs. The fighter jets fired accurately at the enemy positions and hit nearby fighter jets of the Ukrainian armed forces.
In its daily update, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian "Western" group defeated the manpower and equipment of five Ukrainian brigades in various areas in Kharkov, Donetsk and Lugansk, and repelled four counterattacks, with Ukrainian losses reaching 300 soldiers.
The units of the "North" group in the Liptsov and Volchansky directions defeated the 57th mechanized infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian army and the 113th military defense Brigade in the Volchansk and Velikiye prokhody settlements of Kharkov. Ukrainian losses amounted to 30 soldiers, 2 cars and a depot of field ammunition.
The Ukrainian army lost up to 590 people in the area of operations of the "South" group. The enemy also lost 1 armored fighting vehicle, 2 cars, 1 155 mm M777 artillery piece manufactured in the US, 1 D-30 122mm artillery piece and 1 105 mm M119 artillery piece manufactured in the US.
The units of the "Dong" group took more favorable positions, defeating the manpower and equipment of the 58th Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the 21st Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard in the Velikaya Novoselka and Oktyabr settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy suffered up to 95 soldiers, 1 armored vehicle carrying troops, 4 cars and 1 155mm Bogdan self-propelled artillery.
