Ukrainian authorities report a missile attack on the capital Kiev.

Ukrainian authorities issued a warning about a missile attack on Kiev on the morning of April 24.

AFP reporters also said they had heard many explosions and noises from drones across the Ukrainian capital.

Kiev city Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a 3-year-old baby had been taken to the hospital.

The city government confirmed in a Telegram post that Kiev was being attacked by missiles, the damage was reported in at least two districts and called on people to seek shelter.

The last time Kiev was attacked by missiles was on April 5, injuring at least three people.

Kiev has been the target of individual attacks since Russia launched the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022.
