Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on June 8 that the conflict had ended after Israeli airstrikes caused Iran to stop its offensive operations.
In a televised statement, Netanyahu said that the fighting situation has now been curbed after Israel's offensive against Iran.
However, the Israeli leader also warned that if Iran continues to carry out attacks, Israel will respond strongly.
Mr. Netanyahu emphasized: "If Iran makes a mistake by continuing to attack us, we will respond with all our might.
In a related development, US President Donald Trump had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the first clashes between Israel and Iran since the two sides reached a ceasefire agreement in April.
A White House official confirmed the exchange between the two leaders, but did not disclose further details about the call's content.
Previously, Mr. Trump posted a message on social media calling on both sides to stop military actions. "Israel and Iran must cease fire immediately," the US President wrote.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any actions that could exacerbate the already unstable situation, according to spokesman Farhan Haq.
