Hoan Cau newspaper reported that the J-20 stealth fighter opened the belly compartment containing weapons during a demonstration flight on November 12. Each fighter had four missiles inside the abdominal cavity and two on both sides of the flank.
Citing Chinese experts, Hoan Cau in the newspaper said that the performance on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) showed the superiority of the J-20 over the top fighter jets of the US, the F-22 and F-35, as well as the increasing confidence of the PLA.
The newspaper also quoted military expert Song Zhongping as saying that the four missiles in the air chamber were long-range anti-aircraft missiles, while the two missiles on the sides were short-range anti-aircraft missiles.
