    On the morning of May 1, Prince Naruhito ascended the throne, becoming the 126th emperor of the land of the rising sun. The solemn coronation ceremony took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo at around 10:30 am. After this ceremony, the new emperor will give his first speech in his new position.

    The "Kenji-to-Shokei-no-gi" coronation ceremony took place at the "Matsu no Ma" room of the Imperial Palace. During the ceremony, the townspeople placed swords and precious gems - treasures in the "Three Principles" symbolizing the power of the Emperor, the state seal and the personal seal of Emperor Naruhito on the shelves in front of the new emperor.

    After that, Emperor Naruhito left the room, the city xu xu xu xuang holding swords, pearls and seals following him. The ceremony ended after about 10 minutes.

    From 11:10 a.m. the same day, a ceremony called "S self-go-Choken-no-gi" will be held in the same room. The new emperor will give his first speech in his new position.

    The new Emperor Naruhito was born in Tokyo in February 1960 and is the eldest son of Emperor Akihito, who deposed on April 30, and Empress Michiko.
