With the National Championship 2024, VTV Binh Dien Long An is the representative of Vietnam to participate in the Asian Women's Club Cup volleyball tournament 2025 (AVC Women's Champions League 2025).
Coach Thai Quang Lai's teachers and students have the opportunity to compete, rub and learn from the development volleyball platforms. However, in terms of achievement, VTV Binh Dien Long An also faces many pressure and challenges.
In 2023, Vietnam Women's volleyball was first won the Asian championship at the club level. However, at that time, the representative of this playground was the national team called Sport Center 1.
In the group stage, Thanh Thuy and his teammates won the first place when they won 3-2 against Paykan Tehran (Iran), 3-1 against Hisamitsu Springs (Japan) and 3-1 before King Whale Taipei (Taiwan, China).
In the quarterfinals, Sport Center 1 defeated Liaoning Donghua (China) with a score of 3-1, then surpassed Diamond Food-Fine Chef (Thailand) 3-2 in the final to win the championship.
In the 2024 season, Vietnam volleyball has 2 representatives attending: LPB Ninh Binh (National Champion 2023) and Duc Giang Lao Cai chemical (invited capacity).
In particular, LPB Ninh Binh continues to have a positive performance to win the runner -up.
In the opening match, they defeated 0-3 against NEC Red Rockets (Japan) but then won 3-0 against Monolith Sky Risers (Philippines) and 3-1 against Saipa Tehran (Iran) to enter the knockout round.
In the semi-finals, Bich Tuyen and his teammate defeated Kanysh (Kazakhstan) 3-1, before losing to NEC Red Rockets 0-3 in the final.
Recalling to see, Vietnamese representatives have very good achievements at AVC Women's Champions League playground. This is also the invisible pressure of VTV Binh Dien Long An in this year's tournament.
To maintain this tradition, the army of coach Thai Quang Lai needs to be prepared carefully before entering the competition. In terms of force, VTV Binh Dien Long An has chosen 14 best quality players, including Thanh Thuy, Khanh Dang, Kim Thoa, Ngoc Hoa, Kim Thanh, Nhu ... or borrowed Vi Thi Nhu Quynh from Quang Ninh team.
Participating in many tournaments from the beginning of 2025 such as the National Championship, Hoa Lu Cup, Hung Vuong Cup also helped the team to maintain a more stable competition and performance.
Objectively, VTV Binh Dien Long An fell into the group with the appearance of the Championship candidate Beijing BAIC Motor (China) and the representative of Iran - Saipa Tehran. Therefore, at least, Thanh Thuy and his teammates needed a victory over Saipa Tehran to be able to win the right to go.
According to the schedule, VTV Binh Dien Long An will face Beijing BAIC Motor on April 21. After that, Thanh Thuy and his teammates will meet SaiPa Tehran on April 22.
