The national volleyball championship took place from March 22 to March 31 at the Dong Anh District Gymnasium (Hanoi) with the participation of 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams.
The teams competed in a round-robin format. The top 4 teams will participate in the semi-finals, the bottom 4 teams will compete for relegation tickets.
In the men's event, defending champion Border Guard still maintains their form. Da Nang had an impressive start when they only lost narrowly to Border Guard with a score of 2-3 in the second match. Last season, this team had to compete in the relegation group but is showing clear improvement.
The current runner-up Sanest Khanh Hoa and the top 4 team last season, LPB Ninh Binh, both entered the tournament quite slowly, creating an unpredictable situation in the men's event.
In the women's event, VTV Binh Dien Long An is temporarily leading with 2 absolute wins. The leading teams last season all maintained good performances, only XMLS Thanh Hoa fell to the bottom of the table and had not won any set after 2 matches.
The race to the semi-finals promises to be very attractive with competition from Vietinbank - the team that only finished 5th last season.
