The beauty queen of VTV Binh Dien Long An team confides
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam women's volleyball team welcomed the return of many familiar faces, including middle blocker Dang Thi Kim Thanh. The 30th SEA Games in 2019 in the Philippines was the last time she participated with the team.
In the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, the beauty queen of VTV Binh Dien Long An team was placed in the opposite position. Thanks to her impressive performance, Kim Thanh has won an official spot in the squad for the 33rd SEA Games, marking her return after two 31st and 32nd SEA Games absences.

"I see the atmosphere in this team's comeback different from before because now there are many young players. As for me, I have now become a senior," Kim Thanh expressed.
She is also highly appreciated by head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet for her spirit and efforts. Therefore, fans are eagerly waiting for this female player's performance at the upcoming Congress.
Luu Thi Hue expresses her views
Blocker Luu Thi Hue is one of the most notable faces in the list of the Vietnam women's volleyball team participating in the 33rd SEA Games. She marked her return after a period of treatment for serious injuries encountered at the Hung Vuong Cup 2023.
"When I think back, I still feel haunted and scared about the injury period. I tried extra therapy and recovery. Luckily, I overcame myself and that fear.
At the 33rd SEA Games, we will have to overcome Thailand. Especially when Thailand plays at home, I think Vietnam needs to overcome itself, unite and be confident to get good results," Luu Thi Hue shared.
Thailand team has a new captain
At the 33rd SEA Games, Thailand was identified as the biggest player of the Vietnam women's volleyball team. Although not in the same group, the preparation and personnel of the opponent participating in the 33rd SEA Games are something that Vietnamese fans are very interested in.
Recently, the Thai Volleyball Federation announced that the main striker Chatchu-on Moksri will take on the role of captain of the national women's volleyball team at the SEA Games taking place at home. Although still quite young, Chatchu-on has proven his talent and is a pillar of Thai women's volleyball over the years.
"I was surprised to become captain so quickly. I feel very happy to take this role and will try my best. We hope that Thai sports fans will cheer for the men's and women's volleyball teams, as well as all other athletes to win gold medals at the SEA Games at home," Chatchu-on Moksri shared.
