Changes in the National Championship from 2026
In the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, each team will only play 7 matches in the group stage, then participate in the relegation round or the final round.
Sharing with the media, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong - said that this format will change in the 2026 season. Accordingly, the number of matches in the group stage will certainly increase. The option could be a first-leg match, so each team will play 14 matches before entering the next round.
Phase 1 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will start tomorrow (March 22) until March 31. The tournament has 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams participating, with a total of 18 foreign players registered. The appearance of a quality cast of stars also creates more attraction for the tournament.
Ticket fever at the National Volleyball Championship
According to records, phase 1 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship in Dong Anh (Hanoi) is attracting a lot of attention from fans.
In volleyball groups, many people hunt for tickets but the number is not much. The price for 1 day of competition is 50,000 VND, or the audience can spend 500,000 VND for a season ticket, watching the entire phase 1 (40 matches/10 days).
Especially on days of competition with big teams, tickets were quickly sold out, and there was a situation of reselling tickets with a higher difference.

Vietnam women's team is of interest on TikTok
The vote, jointly conducted by the Vietnam Department of Sports and Physical Training (VFF) and the social networking platform TikTok, had the results of the categories. The results show that the Vietnam women's volleyball team has the highest number of votes in the Most Favorite Sports Team category on TikTok.

The women's volleyball team has 926,122 votes, ranking above the women's futsal team (246,304 votes) and the women's 4x400m relay athletics team (214,398 votes). In the most favorite athlete category on TikTok, opposite Nguyen Bich Tuyen ranked second behind badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh.
